“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” — Lao Tzu

In the beginning there was photography and the world became much more interesting.
Being a survivor my world suddenly became dark, uninteresting and ugly. My mind was filled with anxiety and sadness. I lacked purpose and my love for life began to wane. The only thing that kept me interested in my surroundings was my love to take pictures. I wanted to capture a moment, or a thing that caught my attention. Over time I learned to make that image interesting to see with the use of angles, light and shade.
As technology improved, so too did the equipment to capture those images and my view of the world also changed. I began to see more detail in things, to see a unique scene, capture that image and enhance it through interpretation from my mind’s eye.
Photography became my therapy, my life-saving passion and soon that passion turned into creating a world on canvas as seen by me. Here, over the following pages you will see my gallery of images. There will be notes explaining what I used to capture the image and how I created it.
